Many years ago, when Bangui, C.A.R. was still headquarters for old-time French-speaking PHs like Alain Mousist, Daniel Henriot and Christian de Tudert, a white-haired gentleman with a remarkable moustache came by our bungalow. His eyes lit up and he became very talkative when he saw our brand-new Land Cruiser. Rudy’s one-word answers to his friendly questioning quickly ended the conversation. And PH Robert Montvoisin was gone.
