African Sporting Gazette's mission is to reach the entire spectrum of hunters - from the wingshooter to the professional hunter, from the sportsman who has made a dozen African safaris to the sportsman planning his first big-game hunt - with stories, news, information and opinion pieces from the entire continent, from the present as well as the past.
As editor, my challenge is to generate interesting and informative material by professional writers such as Terry Wieland and Joe Coogan, conservationists like Rod East and Ron Thomson, as well as by the professional hunters themselves and by their hunting clients - all of whom are ASG readers.
We strive to be The Paris Review of the African safari industry, seeking the highest standard of both writing and photography. Years down the line, sportsmen will look back at ASG and say it represents "The Golden Age" of publishing about Africa.
